Abstract
Electricity leakage can occur because of an electric current flowing from a live-phase wire to the ground caused by an insulation leak caused by poor wiring or problems with the equipment used, resulting in sparks that can damage electrical installations. In a steel frame house, leakage of electric current caused by insulation failure in the installation is very dangerous for home users, the steel frame in the house can flow electric current so that it can endanger workers when carrying out installation repairs when there is a disturbance. The electric current leakage detection device system in the steel frame house was successfully designed using the PZEM-004 T sensor, Arduino Uno R3, Buzzer, and relays. This tool works when the PZEM-004 T sensor detects the presence of electricity in the steel frame of the house, then from the detection results, a buzzer will sound as a sign of an electric current leak and the relay will turn off the source from PLN automatically so that home users are safe and avoid sparks which can cause a house fire. Based on the results of the tool testing that the system is running well, the current detected by the sensor is 0.8 A with a length of 9 meters of steel frame installed and the current that flows every 1 meter of steel frame is 0.08 A.
