Abstract

Solar power is an alternative energy with a very low risk of pollution. The use of solar power has also penetrated various sectors in practice. Everything related to the utilization of solar power still costs quite a lot. In this research, the intended focus point is to create a device that utilizes solar power at a fairly low cost, namely creating a plate/reservoir that can heat water with sunlight. The heater to be made in this study uses an Arduino and a temperature sensor as a water temperature reader. In the operation of the water heater using a microcontroller based on Arduino Mega 2560, the microcontroller can activate an AC motor water pump and an automatic tap as a driver. Then can read water temperature relying on solar radiation. This heater produces water temperatures that reach more than 45 °C-50 °C. The results of research and testing of this tool, the temperature reaches an accuracy level of 98.3 ° C in the measurement temperature ratio at liquid crystal display (LCD).
