Abstract
Bengkalis State Polytechnic is one of the universities in Riau Province, precisely located in Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency. Thesis is a scientific essay that must be written by students as part of the final requirements for vocational education. The process of implementing the thesis through several stages starting from the submission of the thesis title by students to the implementation of the final thesis examination. The purpose of this proposal is to propose an idea, namely the creation of a web-based thesis system application at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic to facilitate students in submitting thesis titles, monitoring the guidance process and making it easier for coordinators to schedule student trial times. The method of this research is to use the Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC) method where the stages are planning, analysis, design and development, testing and implementation and improvement. The development of this web-based thesis system application uses the PHP programming language with the CodeIghniter framework and MySQL database.
