Abstract
The problem in my final project research is related to dwelling time at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk Perawang. The purpose of my final project is to prevent the long waiting time (dwelling time) for loading and unloading at the dock by PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk Perawang. The research method used for data collection is the observation method and the interview method. The place of this research is at the port/pier of PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk Perawang which I carried out from April to August 2021. The results of this research are dwelling time can be overcome if the loading and unloading process is equipped with adequate tools, understands good and effective stowage plane performance, prepares documents required documents and prioritize health and safety. The obstacles are the lack of adequate tools in loading and unloading activities, crane breakdown, slow or ineffective stevadoring performance and bad weather during loading and unloading
