Abstract

The use of Air Conditioning in Indonesia annually has increased significantly. So that, when it is damaged, the Air Conditioner will be one of the causes of electronic waste. One part of the Air Conditioner that can be used is a compressor. Therefore, the author wants to utilize this air conditioner compressor by modifying it into a motorcycle air compressor with a gas cylinders as a place for air storage. This modification aims to determine the pressure that can be produced by the AC compressor. The method used in this research is designing, modifying, then testing on motorcycle and car tires. The pressure that can be generated by the AC compressor is 7,5 kg/cm2 and it takes 4 minutes 5 seconds to fill the tube. The compressor can also fill 3 motorcycle tires with a front tire pressure of 25 PSi and a rear tire pressure of 30 PSi, and can fill 1 car tire with a pressure of 40 PSi.
