Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and work relations on employee job satisfaction at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR) of Bengkalis Regency. This research is a type of quantitative research using primary data sources (questionnaires). The population in this study were government employees at the Department of Public Works and Housing of Bengkalis with a sample of 58 respondents. The results of the questionnaire were tested for validity and reliability before conducting research data. Prerequisite analysis test includes normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, partial test (T test) and simultaneous test. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is a significant influence between leadership and work relations on employee job satisfaction at the PUPR Office of Bengkalis Regency. This is evidenced in the results of multiple linear regression which has a Tcount for the leadership variable of 3.893 and a Tcount for the employment relationship variable of 9.234 which is greater than the Ttable value of 1.985 and has a significance less than 0.05, which is 0.000. The researcher concludes that the higher the value of leadership and work relations, the greater the value of job satisfaction for employees at the PUPR Office of Bengkalis Regency. The test results show that the independent variable in this study has an influence of 62.2% on the dependent variable, while 37.8% is influenced by other variables.
