Abstract

This research focuses on the discussion about the dried shrimp shell (ebi) peeler that we will design to help improve the economy of the coastal community of the Akar Strait, Meranti Islands Regency. The purpose of this study was to design and manufacture the framework of the dried shrimp skin peeler and find out the materials to be used in the dried shrimp skin peeler (ebi). The method used is to conduct a field study and then conduct a literature study and start the design and collection of data and materials that will be used in the process of making the stripping tool frame. From the research results, using the Autodesk Inventor Pro 2017 software computing system with the Finite Element Analysis method. The modeling is done by measuring the dimensions of the frame construction of the dried shrimp skin peeler. By analyzing the construction strength on carbon steel material, the mass value is 20 kg, stress is 0.008273 Mpa, strain is 5.666e-08 ul, displacement is 1.92e-05 mm and safety factor is 15 ul.
