Abstract

Currently the problem of cigarette smoke is still an issue among the general public. Lack of awareness of smokers and the absence of sanctions on smokers makes the cause of this problem continues to evolve. To solve the problem, this final task was established a prototype tool capable of detecting the presence of cigarette smoke using MQ-2, MQ-7 and MQ-135 sensors as well as neutralizing the cigarette smoke using ozone generators. At the time of the sensors MQ-2, MQ-7 and MQ-135 detect the presence of cigarette smoke, suction fans, ozone generators and the exhaust fan will be active simultaneously. The suction fan will suck the smoke into the appliance and then be neutralized by the ozone generator and exit through the exhaust fan. This process repeats until the sensor has not detected any smoke. The result of testing this tool in the experimental box dimensionally 45cm x 45cm x 30cm, indicating that the length of time neutralize is proportional to the number of cigarettes used when testing.
