Abstract

Bukit Timah intersection is a four-way intersection without a signal that has a fairly busy traffic flow. Especially at this intersection, heavy vehicles are often passed by which at certain times congestion occurs due to heavy vehicles passing through the intersection. This causes road users to feel uncomfortable when crossing intersections and also has the potential for traffic accidents. To overcome these problems, an evaluation of the unsignalized intersection and the APILL design was carried out at the intersection. In evaluating the geometry of intersections without signals and planning geometric widening and APILL using the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) regarding Intersection Capacity and Module 4 of the Ministry of PUPR in 2017. Based on the calculation results, the highest degree of saturation (DJ) occurred on Monday at 0.45. And after planning the widening of the intersection and planning for APILL, the degree of saturation (DJ) is 0.591. Then the planning cycle time is 67 seconds, phase 1 green time (7 seconds), phase 2 green time (16 seconds), phase 3 green time (10 seconds), and phase 4 green time (23 seconds) with an average intersection delay. an average of 7.13 sec/cur.
