Abstract

This study aims to deternibe the attitudes and interests of consumer towards tea proucts in Bengkalis supermarkets. The object of research taken is the people who buy tea products in the supermarket in the City of Bengkalis. This research is a quantitative stuy using a survey method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The population in this study were people in Bengkalis, sampling using the Non Probality Sampling technique, amounting to 100 respondents where the number of female respondents was 71% compared to male respondents, namely 29%. This comparision reflects conditions where women are more likely to dominate the purchase of tea products, both personal and business. The method used to process the data is descriptive statistics. Consumer attitudes in this study have 3 indicators used that are in the high category, meaning that the respondents response to consumer interest is very large. These indicators are the cognitive component, affective component, conative component and the final result of the mean indicator is 4.17. Meanwhile, consumer interest in this study has 4 indicators are used, including in the high category, meaning that the respondents response to consumer interest is very large. These indicators are transactional interest, relative interest, preferential interest, explorative interest and the end of mean indicator is 4.0925.
