Abstract

Solar Cell or often called solar panels are electronic components by converting solar energy into electrical energy. Photovoltaic (PV ) is a technology that serves to convert or convert solar radiation into electrical energy the energy generated will be stored to the battery and will be connected to the electric motor drive motor, Indonesia is located in the tropics and receives the radiation of solar energy daily broad unity, Approximately 4.8 kilo watt/m2. Electric car is not a new thing, has a lot of research conducted before by industry, universities and so on, in this Essay the authors designed solar electric car by utilizing solar radiation as an electric car driving energy, In solar panel testing conducted for a week from 08:00 hour wib until 16:00 wib obtained peak voltage from 11:00 wib is 19.49 Vdc up to 14:00 wib with voltage 19.74 Vdc, lighting conditions or weather influence affect ouput solar cell from cloudy weather at 8:00 pm with Voltage 17.81 Vdc up to 19.95 Vdc at sunny weather at 12:00 wib.
