Abstract

Battery or often called the battery is one of the main components in motor vehicles. Aki is able to convert the chemical into electricity. Known two types of elements that are the direct current source (DC ) of the chemical process, namely the primary element and the secondary element in principle charging the battery charge is by flowing batteries with electric current continuously. Charging is done from a voltage of 10.03 volts and stopped when the battery voltage has reached its maximum voltage of 13 volts (full charge ). After the battery is full, the battery can be used to rotate the motor as a driving force car litsrik, in this thesis the authors designed a solar electric car by utilizing solar radiation as an electric car driving energy. In testing the battery for one week from 08:00 wib to 16:00 wib obtained peak current from 11:00 wib until 14:00 wib is 3.76 A to 4.53 A.
