Abstract

Technological advances can help people in various aspects of life, It is seen that many people rely on technology. Such conditions resulted in increased demand for electrical energy by the public to the state electricity company, To prevent overload the addition of power plants with primary energy comes from coal which is currently known as the 10,000 MW program. The plant is categorized as conventional power plant and not environmentally friendly. Looking at Indonesia's coal reserves can only be about 35 years ahead then it needs a research that utilizes renewable energy sources, cheap, and environmentally friendly, So this research aims to plan the speed bump that can be used as a source of power generation. The method used in this research is the utilization of sleeping police or speed bump to generate electrical energy by using spring system. Although the results are still not accurate as expected. And still need further development so that Utilization of highway (speed bump ) as alternative electric energy can be really effective use as energy storage media from alternative energy source.
