Abstract

The oil supply is running low in the world cause the fuel prices (BBM) to be go up. This condition cause serious problems to be done. The renewable potentials such as : the wind, the sun and the ocean wave energy must be immediatly to seen. Eventhought, it may be too late. The potential energy and kinetic energy to be contained in the ocean wave can be converted for utilization of electric power. The purpose of the research is to be use for the potential of wave energy to be converted into electricity. The benefits of the research is for the methods and the alternative energy are environmentally freindly and does not require the fuel oil. The research activity was begins with the literature study to review previous research look for the formulation it was done. The result of the literature studies to be continued to make design or design tools with the calculations. The calculation refers to the principle of the ocean wave energy utilization as much as possible.
