Abstract
This study designs an environmentally friendly power generation system without using fossil fuels. The generating system is a prototype of savonius vertical turbine using three spirals. The energy source of turbine is derived from the flow of sea water. From the test results with sea water velocity of 12 meters 0.57m / s capable of rotating the turbine as much as 16.5rpm with the rotation capable of turning the generator to produce electrical energy with a voltage of 4.19 volts, 5.83 volts, and currents of 0.11 amperes, 0.12 amperes. The electrical energy produced is proven to have been able to turn on several dc motors.
