Abstract

Sudden power outage caused by drop voltage disorder in Electrical Building Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis often happen without predictable first by PLN officer. This disorder requires information (phone, SMS) from the campus, as well as the manager of electrical building so that required a smart system. This research will make the monitoring system of power capacity in building of electro equipped with arduino based logger data. This research uses AC current sensor, data logger and GSM shield to provide information if there is disruption of power imbalance in Electrical Building. This monitoring system will quickly send data to mobile PLN officer or PLN officer any changes in current sensor status. The data stored in the data logger can also monitor the maximum of the last month for the purposes of the analysis of the cause of the disturbance and the performance of officers (duration of time) in improving the imbalance of power in the Elekro Building. This research can also facilitate the work of PLN in monitoring the disturbance that occurs in every existing building on campus Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, from the results of testing the power capacity monitoring tool found the average value error of measurement current for each phase as follow: R=3.67%, S=5.05%, T=4.25%. As for the value of the percentage of SMS testing, the success rate of testing was 80%
