Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology is currently running very fast, where the world can be connected through a computer network that can interact and exchange information. Every person who lives today wants to continue to update and follow technological developments. PT PLN (Persero ) as the producer of electrical energy is trying to compensate for these needs by increasing the supply of electricity. Thus, when there are many demands, the available power must be shared, and often times alternating power outages. Based on this background the writer made a thesis with the title Prototype Power Outage Design Based on SMS Gateway PT.PLN Dumai Branch. Furthermore, the design of the Outage is also expected to be able to help PLN Officers in controlling blackouts when blackouts take place in turns. The method to be carried out is by collecting reference data relating to the title of the thesis, designing the design of the tool to be made using computer software, making tools based on the design of the design, testing the tool, data retrieval, including data on the length of time of the blackout, the number of blackouts and analysis. The results obtained are able to calculate the results and success rate of delivery.
