Abstract

DC SHUNT motor speed regulation is used to drive the counter which is in controlling the rotation speed using the DC Chooper or PWM circuit, As is known that the motor is a device to convert electrical energy into energy in the form of energy rotation. In the selection of the use of a DC motor must be adjusted to the characteristics and construction of the engine. One of them is a SHUNT motorbike. The DC SHUNT motor has a constant rotation speed and is not dependent on the load. The DC motor used is a DC SHUNT motor using a DC Chopper circuit. DC Chopper is used to convert a fixed DC voltage source into a variable DC voltage that regulates the on-off (duty cycle) DC Chopper circuit through a PWM control circuit, which uses a 24 volt 10 ampere power supply as a source to rotate the PWM and the magnitude of the voltage used to drive this chopper starting from 12 volts to 24 volts. and for the successful regulation of the speed of a DC SHUNT motor using PWM in this study approximately 90.0%.
