Abstract

Solar energy is one of the endless natural resources if it is used continuously. One of its uses is as a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). Voltage generated from solar panels in the form of DC voltage (Direct Current) which is then converted into AC voltage (Alternating Current) using an inverter. The voltage conversion is carried out aiming to provide supply to the AC load used in the hydroponic planting control system. The working principle of the inverter accepts the voltage generated from the solar panels, then is accepted by the BCR (Battery Charge Regulator). The output from BCR goes directly to the battery for storage when the weather is not hot or at night. The output from the battery then goes to the inverter which is converted to AC voltage which will be used by AC loads. In assembly, the main component used is the CT transformer (Current Transformer). The inverter is made from 12 VDC to 220 Vac with a power of more than 350 watts, because the load is calculated to be ± 350 watts. The test carried out is to run the entire control system in the hydroponic planting system, namely the load of the AC motor, the power supply to run the DC motor and also the sensor PH, humidity and ultrasonic. The average value of the output voltage of the inverter is 220.4 volts using 240 volts trafo output.
