Abstract

AC motor speed control has many ways, one way is to control the AC motor speed based on the color of the Arduino Uno-based object. In this thesis workmanship, the AC motor rotation speed control is applied in the process of shipping goods, so as to provide a certain level of security for certain types of goods. In this thesis, the AC motor as the drive on the main line conveyor, and the DC motor as the second line drive, then the AC motor will be regulated based on the color of the object. The motor will move slowly during normal conditions before an object or item crosses the TCS230 sensor, then the motor will move faster than normal conditions if the TCS230 sensor detects items in red packaging, because red is a category of objects that are not easily broken or hardiness. The motor will move a little slower than the previous condition if the TCS230 sensor detects items with white packaging, because white is a category of fragile or sensitive objects, in this study only made as a prototype. From the measurement results, it is found that the motor moves after the position of the rotary potentiometer 125 ˚ with rotation speed on the AC motor 41.3 RPM which is measured using a tachometer while the input voltage is 232 V, the output voltage is 127 V, the current is 0.9 A, and the resistance value of 167 Ω, and a conveyor speed of one 0.22 m / s, two conveyor speeds of 0.19 m / s.
