Abstract

The strength of welded joints in a construction, whether in shipbuilding, needs to be considered properly and tests also need to be carried out to determine the resistance of the material to a load. Friction welding is a welding technique by utilizing the heat generated by friction. The surfaces of the two materials to be joined, one rotating and the other stationary, are brought into contact by a compressive force. Until the two materials are fused. In this final project research aims to determine the strength of the pipe that is beveled by using friction welding (friction welding).
