Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country that has diverse natural resources and has a fairly wide area. Perhaps this is what makes Indonesia one of the largest agricultural countries in the world. In Indonesia, the geographical line is quite above the equator, so Indonesia has the potential to have a large amount of solar heat. In Indonesia every day can get energy of 4.8-6.0 kwh. The design of the temperature control system on the Drying device has important components, including the LDR sensor (light dependent resistor) from the design of this system, which is useful for signaling to the Arduino Uno,accompanied by the Arduino Uno as the brain of all these systems, accompanied by a DC motor as the driving force. and incandescent lamps as heaters. It can be concluded that the results of data collection using an automatic dryer using incandescent lamps, the time needed to make corn is 11 hours. With temperatures varying from 34 °C to 40 °C, with the initial weight of corn being 490 grams and with humidity reaching 13%, while the results of automatic drying data collection using sunlight, the time needed to make corn is 20 hours. With temperatures varying from 30 °C to 40 °C, with an initial weight of 1000 grams of corn to 480 grams and with a humidity of 13%. The average mass of corn that was reduced was about 32.2 grams and the average temperature was 39.33 C for each test. Automatic corn drying using incandescent lamps is more effective than using direct sunlight in terms of drying time, because it only takes about 11 hours. With electricity costs Rp. 1,692.70(tariff category 900 VA) or electricity costs Rp. 1,808.76 (Tariff category 1,300 -2,200 VA).
