Abstract
This study aims to examine salary, work environment, labor market considerations, personality, and family environment on the choice of accounting profession in accounting students. The data of this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to accounting students in the province of Riau. The questionnaires were distributed to four universities, namely the University of Riau, Islamic University of Riau, Bengkalis State Polytechnic, STIE Tuah Negeri, STIE Syariah Bengkalis and STAIN Bengkalis. The sampling technique in this study was using the Random Sampling technique with a total of 218 respondents. In this study, multiple linear regression analysis was used with the help of the results of IBM SPSS version 20. The test results showed that the variables of Salary, Work Environment, Labor Market Considerations, Personality, and Family Environment had a positive effect on the Accountant Profession Career Selection. The adjusted R square value is 50.5% while the remaining 49.5% is influenced by other variables not included in this study
