Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of a receivable management system, constraints and solutions in improving the management of inpatient receivables at the Bengkalis District Hospital. This research is a type of qualitative research using primary data sources (information on the management of receivables) and secondary data (receivable collection reports, accounts receivable reports for 2019-2020). Data collection techniques are interviews and documentation studies. The method of data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the application of the inpatient receivable management system at the Bengkalis District Hospital starting from receiving patients to collecting receivables is carried out in accordance with the SOP and Policies of the Bengkalis District Hospital. Constraints contained in the application of the accounts receivable management system are the lack of effective communication between officers and patients, inactive patient BPJS cards, the application of SOPs that are still not optimal and errors in inputting patient data. The solution to solving these problems is to conduct service meetings and check data.
