Abstract

The natural conditions in the Bengkalis Riau area have several times experienced forest fires that cannot be controlled because the forest land in Bengkalis is mostly peat land. Due to the lack of information, we need a system that is able to transmit data obtained from remote sensors. The method of sending data is done using the Internet Of Things (IoT) method. By using an Arduino connected to a temperature and smoke sensor that is connected to the internet via Node MCU ESP8266. Sending data via IoT accelerates the delivery of fire data so that fire information can be known faster. The old system takes up to ±30 minutes to deal with fires, while the new system that I use only takes a few minutes (≤5 minutes) to inform related parties and the state of the forest can be monitored at any time because it uses a real-time system.
