Abstract

Manure is processed animal manure, usually livestock manure that is applied to agricultural land to improve soil fertility and structure. In Pedekik Village, there is a livestock group named Pak Mas Ndeso. The farm there also sells manure from the cows they raise. A month they can produce 20 sacks with a sack size of 50 kg. Of course, to produce and process the manure, tools are needed so that the resulting production is more leverage. After observation, it turned out that the problem was in the capacity of the cow dung processing machine, which was still too small, only had 1 blade and 5 iron stirrer. The engine capacity used is about 7.5 hp and has 18 blades. The working principle of the processing machine with 1 inlet and 1 outlet is the rotation of the driving engine which is transmitted through the pulley and v-belt transmission by lowering the rotation to the cutting shaft. The rotation of the cutter shaft will rotate the chopping knife, cow dung for manure will be inserted into the chopping knife channel for processing, namely from above. On the chopping knife, the results of the enumeration will be directed by the guide knife to the outlet. The results of the test are located in each final weight after sewage treatment. In the first experiment, the initial weight was 4.5kg to 2.5kg, the second processed the initial weight of 5kg to 3.1kg and the third processed the initial weight of 9kg to 5.5kg. The conclusion obtained is that the number of blades 18 is very influential because it can break down and chop dirt faster than using a 5 iron stirrer and this processing machine can accommodate more capacity, which is about 9 kg per processing.
