Abstract

How to design an electric drum instrument using a MIDI module and an Op-Amp Amplifier circuit at an economical cost. This development is expected to be another way to form a musical instrument. By utilizing the existing technology in the microcontroller to produce a musical instrument that looks more efficient but dynamic. With economical costs and practical components obtained, the author assumes this can help musicians realize the audience's desire to have their own musical instruments. The purpose of this study is to be able to develop an electric drum device using an electric MIDI drum available in the market by adding an amplifier circuit and with economical materials. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Design of an Electric Drum Using a Piezo Transducer Sensor has been successfully designed and made. The use of PVC pipes is more prominent in the manufacture of drum frames. Other components that are also used are flat zinc, foam heart, Triplex. For loud/slow sound output the beat on the pad is affected by the speaker sound output. For maximum results, we recommend finding a new source for making drum modules using the Inverting circuit as a switch. For pressure/vibration sensor readings, other types of vibration sensors should be used, because the sensors used by researchers are very sensitive and easily damaged.
