Abstract

The use of generators in a power plant system is very necessary. The function of this generator is to convert mechanical energy or motion energy into electrical energy. The motor connected to the generator is the main driver. These motors and generators have limited capabilities that can be supported by each. For example, events that often occur are disturbances to overload currents and voltage drops. This is mostly due to the use of excessive load. Therefore it is necessary to protect the generator. From the over-voltage test with a limit value of over 205 V, the variation of the load R1 obtained readings on the sensor of 209 V, 207 V and 205 V with an error percentage of 1.4 %, 1.8 % and 1.9 %, respectively. The readings on the sensor for testing under voltage with a value limit of under 200 V are 175 V and 193 V with an error percentage of 1.1 % and 1 %, respectively.
