Abstract
As a maritime country, Indonesia is surrounded by oceans that produce various kinds of abundant marine resources, one of which is fish. Fish is a marine resource that has high nutritional value so that it becomes one of the most popular food ingredients. This material is processed into various types of dishes, one of which is salted fish. Salted fish is made by drying fish under the hot sun so that the water content in the fish decreases. This also makes the fish durable and protected from fungus. This fish dryer makes it easier for fishermen to process fish during the day and night and maximizes the processing results and speeds up the drying of the fish. The research that has been done with the Kansei Enginering Method with a constant temperature of 45oC for 4 hours. In this study, the authors designed a fish dryer, entitled Design of Salted Fish Dryer. After carrying out the process of testing the design of the fish dryer. The artificial heat of the heating element can be obtained as a result of drying fish using a heating element that varies (35oC to 45oC) to dry fish.
