Abstract
Crackers are snacks (snacks). Belacan crackers are a type of dry food made from the main ingredient, sago which contains quite high starch. The process of making belacan crackers requires several stages of processing, including steaming, drying and cutting. The success of a cracker producer is highly dependent on good dough making and processing methods, as well as high quality cutting processes. Until now, in the stem base area, the process of cutting cracker clontong is still done manually (using a knife), so it has disadvantages in the form of non-uniform thickness and a slow cutting process. Therefore, a cracker chopper was made which aims to uniform the thickness of the crackers and speed up the chopping process and increase production capacity. Before being used, this cracker chopper must first be tested for the strength of the machine frame. After testing the strength of the frame, the results of the mounting force for the dough with a mounting mass of 9 Kg is 44.1 N, and the force exerted by the blade with a mass of 3.3 Kg is 16.17 N, and the strength of the undercarriage on the machine is 117.6 N
