Abstract

Monitoring is an activity that aims to monitor or observe something. At the Bequranic Bengkalis Islamic boarding school, teaching and learning activities are dominated by reciting and memorizing the Qur'an. Monitoring of students is still done manually or directly monitored, where for the development of memorization, activities and health of students it is usually reported if parents come to visit the Islamic boarding school. However, not all parents can always visit Islamic boarding schools because of the long distance. So to deal with these problems, it is necessary to design an Android-based student monitoring application to make it easier for parents to monitor their children from a long distance. In this study the aim was to build an Android-based student monitoring application using the Scrum method. The results of the research that has been carried out in developing the monitoring application for students with the application of the Scrum method have been successfully carried out. During the development stage of the santri monitoring application, it took 4 sprints. The amount of work on the first sprint is 20 days, the second sprint is 19 days, the third sprint is 16 days and the fourth sprint is 9 days. System testing is carried out using the Black Box method and the test results are declared valid.
