Abstract
A blind person is a general term used for the condition of a person who experiences a disturbance or obstacle in the sense of sight. Based on the level of disturbance is blind divided into two namely the total blind (total blind) and still have the rest of the vision (low vision), people with visual impairment cannot run without a stick or other tools. Based on the knowledge obtained by the authors make a tool for a guide for the visually impaired. Li-ion batteries as an energy source to store incoming power to the powerbank module as an activator of all components, the component requiring the source is the arduino as the data processing, the HC-SR04 sensor as the distance reader and the buzzer as the sound output. Sensor HC-SR04 will provide information if there is a barrier in front of it with a maximum distance of 100 cm. if a distance of less than or equal to 100 cm will be processed arduino to enable the buzzer as a sound indicator to the user of this tool. The distance sensor HC-SR04 has margins error ranging from 1.5% -5.6%. The use of proximity sensor technology can provide information faster by detecting obstacles in front of it by using a distance that has been given the distance limitations.
