Abstract

The research objective is to design a motorcycle security system with a fingerprint system so that with this system it is expected that the system can make it easier for someone to turn on the vehicle. The performance of the fingerprint sensor will work well if the fingerprint is inserted in a dry condition. The system can communicate with the fingerprint module in the form of "On contact", "Off contact and" error ". Of the 5 types of fingerprints (thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger and little finger) in the five people who were sampled, the sensitivity level of the sensor varied. This is due to the quality of the fingerprint attached to the sensor. This system will turn on the buzzer when there is an inappropriate fingerprint attached to the sensor and the sensor will only communicate with the fingerprint that has been stored in the sensor. The conclusion of this study is that by using this system can improve motor vehicle security and it is expected that this system can be simpler because the size of the system is still very large and also the response time in processing data is still very slow.
