Abstract

The Bengkalis River is one of the rivers that stretches from the Bengkalis Institute road. This island is separated from the island of Sumatra. Geographically, Bengkalis Island is located in the Malacca Strait at coordinates 01º 31'29"N and 102º 28'13"E anddirectly with Malaysia. Administratively, Bengkalis Island is located in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. In this case study, I learned and understood changes in sedimentation/sedimentation height in rivers from month to month. What is meant by sedimentation is material that is open so that it becomes shallow, and I also know when it is high and low tide. At the research stage and data processing using a field survey, which is processed with 3D civil software, Microsoft Excel, and integrated with Gps coordinate data, to get the accuracy of the map made precisely. The method used in this research is the terrestrial method, which means conducting a direct field survey. I got this title to make it easier to monitor sedimentation heights and sedimentation rates per 2 months, so a survey that is oriented to a geographic information system is needed.
