Abstract

Metal casting is one of metal forming process by using mold which then fill with liquid metal. In the process of casting the melted metal material by heating it until it reaches the melting point, then the metal liquid is poured into the mold cavity provided previously. In improving the quality of foundry products, the inlet system is varied with the aim of looking at the nature of the mechanical strength of the metal. The raw materials of this study are residual aluminum waste from brake lining, residual gram of cnc lathe, this study will be distinguished on inlet, inlet 1, inlet 2 and inlet 3. Violence test is also done by comparing the result of hardness value of BHN The average of each test sample. The test results show that inlet 2 has the highest mean BHN hardness value of 47.68 BHN. While channel 3 has the lowest average BHN value with a value of 45.15 BHN.
