Abstract

Las SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) is an electric arc welding which is one type of electric weld where the source of heating or lubrication of the material that is connected or welded comes from the electric flame. The welding shall be carried out for each specimen for 3 tensile sampling and 3 specimen for bending tes in which the welded test object is cooled by means of air-cooling medium, water and oil. From the tensile test results it is known that on the specimen after welding using air cooling procees has a tensile strees of 495.56 N/mm2 , with water cooling having a tensile strees of 520.19 N/mm2 and with oil cooling having a tensile strees of 521.78 N/mm2 . For bending test results on specimens after welding using air cooling procees has a voltage of 572.66 N/mm2 , with water cooling having a voltage of 640.30 N/mm2 and with oil cooling having a voltage 560.90 N/mm2.
