Abstract

At present the Bengkalis community itself as a rice farmer in carrying out the rice processing process itself goes through several stages in order to produce good rice, starting from the harvesting process to the grain grinding process or the grain of rice into rice, At present farmers are concerned about the drying process. Rice drying done by the Bengkalis community is still a lot with conventional methods, namely by drying grain seeds in the hot sun, this process requires a long time and sufficient heat, if there is rain the drying process is hampered, it is necessary to apply the appropriate technology by using a oven burner dryer, The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of oven burner temperature on the quality of grain produced and determine the optimal drying time, drying is done up to 11% moisture content, 98.5% pure seed, seed dirt 2.0% and and 100% germination power, among these variables have met the SNI standard for grain quality with the ideal time of drying 75 minutes per 50 kg of grain
