Abstract

Reinforced concrete bridge is a bridge whose construction uses concrete material and can be used for highway construction. The moment of inertia of the concrete beam is one of the factors that determines the deflection. This study aims to analyze the increase in the capacity of beams added to mild steel by providing shear which is torn by forming triangles and squares and to find out the pattern of cracks that occur in reinforced concrete beams. The flexural test is carried out by applying a one-point load at the center of the span of the beam with a pedestal distance of 1.1 m. Beam test specimens were made with a size of 0.15 x 0.25 x 1.30 m and mild steel were made with a cross section model and U plate with dimensions of 2 x 50 x 70 mm and 2 x 50.5 x 70 mm respectively pull the beam. From the results of the BL1 and BL2 studies, there was a successive increase of 70,7% and 82.8%
