Abstract

The vibration that is studied is that the vibration that occurs on the centrifugal pump shaft is one of the results of the design of the mounting position of the belt as a connection between the two couplings between the centrifugal pump and the driving motor. Because when the vibration exceeds the ISO standard threshold can affect the age of use of centrifugal pumps and data in the form of value. vibration documentation can be as a reference for maintenance or when troubleshooting will occur. The research was conducted to determine the high and low vibration generated during placement of the belt / flange installation. By varying the design of the belt mounting position and knowing the displacement, velocity, acceleration, at the vibration. By using a vibration meter measuring instrument with the position of a horizontal measurement point, the vibration device will point to the value of a digital number. This study found that measurement of deep belt displacement with an external design belt received a low vibration value (0.01mm) compared to the outer and outer belt design. For the measurement of the lowest vibration velocity values 0.12-0.13 m / sec. While the lowest acceleration vibration measurement is in the belt design position in the outer 3.1 m / sec2 with 18 sec.
