Abstract

Cooling is one method that is carried out in welding, the temperature that is hot occurs in the material to be received from the liquid which will relieve high summer quickly. In this study different electrode forms will be carried out, namely E6013 electrode and E7016 electrode, then cooling the SAE 20W-50 oil to a predetermined volume and cooling time. The results of this study, for the highest attractiveness of the E7016 electrode is the average cooling volume of 0.5 liters and the time of 5 minutes with the highest tensile value of 31299.93 N. Then the minimum tensile strength on this electrode is at the volume of immersion volume 1, 5 liter and cooling time 10 minutes with maximum tensile strength 25966.99 N. The highest tensile strength at E6013 electrode is at perfect volume of 0.5 liters and time of 5 minutes with a maximum tensile value of 27998.17 N. Then the minimum tensile strength on this electrode at 1.5 liter immersion volume and cooling time 15 minutes with a maximum tensile strength of 19030.78 N
