Abstract
Plantations are producers of trading commodities, especially oriented towards the export market. Including as well as smallholder plantations, also market oriented, not subsistence farming.. The purpose of this research is to analyze the commodity of the agricultural sector in Bengkalis Regency which is a leading commodity, namely the plantation sector. This study used primary data in the form of interview transcripts and secondary data in the form of data for 2019-2021 obtained from the plantation service, while export data for 2019-2021 was obtained from Class I Agricultural Quarantine in the Bengkalis working area. The method used in identifying the export potential of agricultural products, especially plantation products, is Location Quotient (LQ) and descriptive analysis. The results of the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that Bengkalis Regency has the potential to export agricultural products in the plantation sector. The plantation commodities that have the potential to be exported are round coconut.Coconut is an agricultural commodity that is advanced and growing rapidly, so that it has a positive impact on these farmers and the community, but because there are still many products from the agricultural sector that have not been exported, it has not had a major impact on regional income.
