Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the financial performance of energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022 as measured using the Economic Value Added (EVA) and Financial Value Added (FVA) methods. The research method used in this research is descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. This study used a sample of 45 (forty five) energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. Source of data obtained is secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the financial performance of energy companies from 2018 to 2022 uses the Economic Value Added (EVA) method, there are only 16 (sixteen) out of 45 (forty five) companies that produce positive EVA values or have good performance for the company nor. This means that 29 (twenty nine) other companies still have poor performance. Meanwhile, the financial performance of energy companies from 2018 to 2022, as measured using the Financial Value Added (FVA) Method, there are 32 (thirty two) companies that produce positive FVA. This means that 32 (thirty two) out of 45 (forty five) companies that generate positive FVA values or have good performance for companies and investors in 2018 to 2022.
