Abstract
Polynex HE is an additive to reduce the use of the amount of water in the concrete mixture, so that the mortar remains easy to work or the mortar becomes plastic (does not change shape). In addition, the addition of percent Polynex HE can also accelerate the hardening of concrete. The results of this test show that the use of Polynex HE as an added material in concrete mixture has a good compressive strength value. After the exam, it can be seen that this system can be used and gives a better value with a total compressive strength value of 35.90 MPa. The method used in this test is by making concrete mixture using SNI 03-2834-2000 with Polynex HE as an added material to the concrete mixture by 0.75%, 1%, 1.25% and 1.5%. Concrete treated for 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 28 days is then tested to obtain compressive strength values, the weight of the contents of the concrete. From the results of this test, a compressive strength value ranging from 26.19-35.90 Mpa was obtained. The highest compressive strength value at a variation of 0.75% with a ratio to normal concrete of 61.764%. Polynex he also increased the weight of concrete contents with a weight between 2442.91-2543.79 kg/m3, and obtained the highest fill weight at a variation of 1.25% with a ratio to normal concrete of 4.324%. Polynex he also increased the slump value between 17.8-19.5cm. The highest slump value was obtained at a variation of 1.5% with a normal concrete ratio of 124.14%. So as to increase workability.
