Abstract

One of the sellers of ice cubes called pambang innovated by buying an ice cube maker from an ac with a capacity of 1 pk using 2 containers containing a maximum of 40 ice cubes each for the needs of 350 ice cubes a day, the tool can freeze ice cubes 12-14 hours. From these problems can be obtained the problem of the length of freezing time. From these problems, an ice cube freezer was designed using 1 pk ac by adding water circulation and pipe length. Research method Using ac 1 pk with refrigant 410a with a capacity of 9000 Btu / h the design results using a refrigerator box with an ice capacity of 80 pieces. With a box size of 1 1.05 m x 0.52 m x 0.47 m and box 2 1.2 m x 0.53m x 0.47 m. So obtained an inner cooling load of 37.03 Watts and an outer cooling load of 3639 Watts. The results of the tool that has been made have a capacity of 80 ice cubes with ac 1 pk brand teco refrigran 410a with a freezing duration of 9 hours 40 minutes. After testing the engine, the calculation of the total load of internal and outer coolant obtained 4.67378 kW, the calculation of the COP of this tool machine is 1.77. Electricity consumption Rp.383,294 / month, Rp 109,041 / month for water pump costs.
