Abstract

Polynex HE is an additive to reduce the use of the amount of water in the concrete mix, so that the mix remains easy to work with or the mix becomes plastic (does not change shape). In addition, the addition of Polynex HE percent can also accelerate the hardening of the concrete. The results of this test show that the use of Polynex HE as an additive in the concrete mixture has a good compressive strength value. After testing, it can be seen that this system can be used and gives a better value with a total compressive strength value of MPa. The method used in this test is to make a concrete mixture using SNI 02-2834: 2000 with Polynex HE as an added ingredient in the concrete mix by 1% and reducing the amount of water 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%,. Concrete treated for 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 28 days were then tested to obtain the compressive strength, unit weight of the concrete. From the test results, it was obtained that the highest compressive strength value was 37.99 MPa with a variation of reducing the amount of water by 30% adding 1% Polynex HE. This test shows that the compressive strength of the 30% variation is added to 1% Polynex HE. has perfect compressive strength, compared to compressive strength with variations in the amount of water reduction of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Meanwhile, if want to add Polynex HE 1% or reduce water, the value of its content weihght is smaller tan normal concrete. As for the highest unit weight found in normal concrete of 2501,19 kg/m3. And for the smallest unit weight obtained at 15% water reduction variation of 2274,60 kg/m3.
