Aplikasi Absensi Mahasiswa Magang Berbasis Web Di Diskominfo Siak

Current advances in information technology are encouraging government agencies to improve efficiency in administrative management, including managing student intern attendance. At the Siak Communication and Information Technology Office (Diskominfo), student intern attendance was previously handled manually using paper forms or recorded directly by supervisors. This method often led to various problems, such as inaccurate attendance data, the risk of lost documents, difficulties in recapitulation, and delays in submitting internship activity reports. This situation resulted in the ineffective and time-consuming process of monitoring student attendance. Based on these problems, this study aims to develop a web-based student internship attendance application at the Siak Communication and Information Technology Office (Diskominfo) that can automate the process of recording student attendance and daily activities. The application is designed to allow students to independently record their arrival and departure attendance using digital devices, as well as record daily activities in real time. Furthermore, administrators or internship supervisors can easily manage student data, monitor attendance, and generate reports quickly and accurately. The development of this application is expected to improve administrative efficiency, minimize errors in attendance recording, and support the process of monitoring student internships more effectively and transparently.
