Sistem Pakar Pendeteksi Tingkat Depresi Menggunakan Metode Rule-Based Reasoning dan Visualisasi dengan Degree Of Match

Depression is one of the most common mental health disorders among adolescents and young adults, yet public awareness of its symptoms remains low. To support accessible early detection, this study develops an expert system based on Rule-Based Reasoning (RBR) using 21 indicators from the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) as its knowledge base. The system analyzes user responses to determine the level of depression and provides appropriate early recommendations based on the detected severity. In addition, a Degree of Match (DoM) feature is provided for administrators or experts to examine the percentage of symptom conformity and monitor the distribution of depression levels through data visualization. Testing shows that the RBR method produces diagnostic results consistent with BDI rules and aligned with expert assessments. Therefore, this system serves as an effective early detection tool while increasing public understanding and awareness of mental health.
