Implementation of occupational safety and health during bauxite unloading activities at PT. Bintan Alumina Indonesia is an aspect of protecting workers and the surrounding area from work accidents. Bauxite unloading activities can cause potential dangers such as exposure to bauxite dust, splashes of bauxite stones, slipping and shifting of gentry cranes, which require strict safety precautions. This research aims to determine the application of work safety in handling bauxite unloading activities and supervision in the application of PPE to unloading personnel, as well as efforts to minimize the risk of work accidents in bauxite unloading activities at PT. Bintan Alumina Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. With data collection techniques using interview, observation and documentation methods. The research results show that the implementation of K3 is carried out quite well through the use of PPE, implementation of safety briefings, the installation of many safety signs, regular K3 training, checking equipment before use, as well as routine supervision and inspection by HSE officers. However, several obstacles were still found, such as a lack of awareness among some workers in using PPE consistently, the large work area that had to be supervised, as well as communication barriers due to language differences in conveying work safety information. Therefore, it is necessary to increase worker awareness, effective safety communication, and consistent supervision so that K3 implementation can run optimally.
