Analisis Pengendalian Kecepatan Motor Induksi 3 Fasa dengan Menggunakan Inverter ABB ACS-800 di PT.Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper

A three-phase induction motor is widely used in industrial applications due to its simple construction, high efficiency, and low maintenance requirements. Motor speed can be controlled using a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or inverter. This study aims to analyze the effect of frequency variation on the rotational speed of a three-phase induction motor using an ABB ACS-800 inverter under no-load conditions. The research employed an experimental method with frequency variations from 10 Hz to 50 Hz. The results showed that increasing the frequency from 10 Hz to 50 Hz increased the motor speed linearly from 300 rpm to 1500 rpm. The inverter output voltage increased proportionally with the frequency, while the motor current remained relatively stable within the range of 0.94–1.11 A. The input power increased from 59.25 W to 584.75 W, while the output power increased from 32.97 W to 422.33 W. The highest motor efficiency was 73.58% at 45 Hz, while at 50 Hz the efficiency reached 72.22%. The results indicate that the ABB ACS-800 inverter effectively controls the speed of a three-phase induction motor and provides a linear relationship between frequency and motor rotational speed.
