Abstract

Manual Grass Cutting And The Use Of Backpack-Type Brush Cutters Still Present Several Limitations, Including High Operator Workload, Physical Fatigue, And Low Efficiency When Working On Large Areas. These Conditions Encourage The Development Of A More Ergonomic, Safe, And Efficient Grass-Cutting Machine. This Study Aims To Design, Fabricate, And Evaluate A Modified Grass Cutter Using A Three-Wheeled Bicycle To Improve Cutting Efficiency While Reducing The Operator's Physical Workload.The Research Method Consisted Of Literature Study, Problem Identification, Machine Design, Material Selection, Fabrication, Component Assembly, And Performance Testing. The Machine Utilizes A 2-Stroke Gasoline Engine With A Power Output Of 2.1 HP As The Main Driving Source, Combined With A Three-Wheeled Bicycle Frame, A Transmission System, Support Wheels, And A Protective Blade Cover To Improve Operational Safety And Stability.
